Long Island Woman Neglected Pit Bull: SPCA

A 27-year-old Long Island woman is accused of neglecting her pit bull.

Paige Warner, of North Bellport, is charged with one count cruelty to animals for neglecting Jackson, her 5-year-old male pit bull, the Suffolk County SPCA said.

Jackson, who is severely underweight and suffering from a skin condition, had not received necessary veterinary care. Jackson was immediately transported to an emergency animal hospital by Brookhaven Animal Control for medical treatment.

Warner is scheduled to appear in First District Court in Central Islip on Oct. 20.
