Motorcycle Helmet-Wearing Woman Robs LI Bank; Bolts On Back Of Motorcycle: Police
She took cash from a teller, and then sped away on the back of a waiting motorcycle, Suffolk police said.
PATCHOGUE, NY — A woman wearing a motorcycle helmet robbed a Patchogue bank early on Thursday morning, Suffolk police said.
She went inside Webster Bank on Sunrise Highway just after 9 a.m., verbally threatened violence, and demanded money from a teller, who handed over cash before, police said, adding that the woman sped away on the back of a waiting motorcycle that headed westbound on Sunrise Service Road North.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call the Major Case Unit at 631-852- 6555, or anonymously to Crime Stoppers, a confidential police hotline, at 1-800-220-TIPS.
