Pat-Med School Budget Results Are In

Patchogue-Medford residents approved a 2019-20 school budget on Tuesday.

The $195.6 million proposed budget was approved by a margin of 1,198-705. The budget is 2.72 percent spending increase over the current year and it comes with a 3.16 percent hike in the school tax levy. That is within the state's tax cap for the district so the budget only needed to be approved by a majority vote.

School board incumbents Teresa Baldinucci and Thomas Donofrio were re-elected. They both ran unopposed.
