Here are the top stories today in Patchogue:
- In October, Tiesto's Restaurant opened its doors serving up Ecuadorian dishes in Patchogue Village. According to their website, Chef Luis Marin - who comes from a small town in Ecuador, learned his skills from his mother who owned a restaurant in his native country. He teamed up with his two daughters to open Tiesto’s this year. The name comes from a handmade clay plate, used for cooking in the Andean culture. (LongIsland.com)
- MoCA L.I.ghts is set to return this weekend with "Merry & Bright" — a special holiday projection billed as a light extravaganza in Patchogue. As part of the curated installation, site-specific holiday-inspired projections will illuminate the facades of contemporary and historic architecture throughout the village, "utilizing projection mapping and light "to create a celebration like you've never seen," according to organizers. - More than 230 Sayville High School seniors took part in the school’s annual Senior Breakfast, traditionally scheduled on the last day of classes before Thanksgiving break.
This year’s celebration resumed the “more normal’ setting that for over three decades has given participating seniors an opportunity to bond as a class, the school district reported. The Class of 2022 members were not restricted by the same pandemic distance protocols that were in effect for last year’s Senior Breakfast.
