- Ruta Oaxaca, Authentic Mexican Cuisine Restaurant Opening In Patchogue: Neither a global pandemic nor naysayers could stop Jose Castillo from opening his dream restaurant dedicated to his hometown of Oaxaca, Mexico. Castillo, alongside his partners, chefs Carlos and Filipe Arllano, only served three guests the opening day of the Queens Mexican eatery. But business improved, their dining room was allowed to open as COVID-19 restrictions eased and now, Ruta Oaxaca is opening a second location on Main Street in Patchogue. (Greater Patchogue)
- Man Dies Of Apparent Carbon Monoxide Poisoning At Construction Site: Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating the death of a construction worker who died from apparent carbon monoxide poisoning while at a residential job site this afternoon in Fort Salonga. Victor Irizarry, 30, of Flanders, was transported to St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown where he was pronounced dead. (TBR News)
