Woman, 77, Killed In East Patchogue Crash On Woodside Avenue: Police
A Middle Island woman was pronounced dead at NYU Langone Hospital–Suffolk following a Monday evening collision, Suffolk County police say.
EAST PATCHOGUE, NY — A 77-year-old Middle Island woman was killed Monday evening in a two-vehicle crash in East Patchogue, Suffolk County police said.
According to Suffolk County Police, Rae Deprizio, 77, was driving a 2014 Kia Optima westbound on Woodside Avenue East at approximately 6:10 p.m. when the vehicle crossed into the eastbound lane and struck a 2012 Jeep Renegade.
Police said the Jeep was being driven by Samantha Drake, 32, of Mastic.

Both drivers were transported to NYU Langone Hospital–Suffolk in Patchogue, where Deprizio was pronounced dead, police said. Drake was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks, according to police.
