He is the second Rockland resident in the last week to be accused of similar past crimes in Bergen County.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — An Airmont resident has been charged with aggravated sexual contact in connection with an assault of a child in the past, Bergen County prosecutors said Friday.

Andrew Villafuerte, 33, was arrested Feb. 28 and charged with three counts of third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors said that on Jan. 16, 2024, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit was contacted regarding the alleged sexual assault of a juvenile. An investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the New Milford Police Department determined that Villafuerte had "sexually assaulted a child in the past, in New Milford, NJ."
