Drug Task Force Search Results In Seizure Of 2 Kilos Cocaine, Heroin
A 41-year-old from Pearl River was arrested and charged with first degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

PEARL RIVER, NY — Police say that a massive drug seizure was the result of a monthslong investigation.
Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II announced on Thursday that 41-year-old Darryl Wright, of Pearl River, was arrested and charged with first degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after a six-month investigation by the DA's Office Drug Task Force into narcotics sales in the Town of Orangetown.
On Wednesday, detectives from the Rockland County DA's Office Drug Task Force and the Orangetown Police Department conducted a search at the Pearl River home of Wright which resulted in the seizure of two kilograms of cocaine, heroin, and other drug paraphernalia.

"This arrest sends a strong message to any individual trafficking illegal drugs in our community, you will be arrested and held accountable," District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II said. "The Rockland County District Attorney's Office Drug Task works tirelessly to keep dangerous substances off our streets and keep the residents of Rockland County safe."
The Rockland County DA's Office Drug Task Force's investigation received assistance from the Rockland County Probation Department and the Detective and Patrol Division of the Orangetown Police Department.

Wright was arraigned on Wednesday before Judge Patrick Loftus in Town of Orangetown Justice Court and was remanded to the Rockland County Jail without bail.
