As a parent have you ever wondered…What is going on in my kid’s head?  What makes them think the way they do? 

Understanding where the teen in your life is coming from and figuring out how to guide them through the journey ahead is often a confusing prospect for parents. 

The Pearl River PTSA and South Orangetown Community Awareness of Substance Abuse (SOCASA) have joined together to bring Michael Nerney, internationally renowned lecturer and expert on adolescent brain development to address these very issues and more at Pearl River High School Auditorium on April 2, 2012 at 7 p.m. 

Nerney is a consultant in Substance Abuse Prevention and Education, with over 29 years of experience in the field.  He has served as a consultant to a number of state and federal agencies, as well as for two major television networks. 

This one-night-only presentation is intended for parents of middle and high school children in addition to anyone with an interest in substance abuse prevention and education. This program is free and open to all parents everywhere.
