Forecast: Frost Ends, Heat Starts In The Hudson Valley
By Tuesday, it'll be warmer at night than it was in the daytime Thursday. Here's the latest.
HUDSON VALLEY, NY — You'll want gloves if you're out before dawn on Saturday, and there will be patchy frost. Then things will not only warm up but go temporarily overboard.
"A major but brief flip in the pattern is in store for the Northeast following the frosty mornings into Friday," said Alex Sosnowski, AccuWeather senior meteorologist.
Temperatures will jump 10 degrees from 63 on Saturday to 74 on Sunday and then 10 degrees more to 84 on Monday before dropping back to the 70s for most of the work week, according to the National Weather Service. It'll be humid, too.

It will also be mostly sunny, but "probability does exist over the weekend for scattered showers or a sprinkle," Bruce Furbeck of First Due Weather said on Facebook.
The surging warmth will bring a new push of growth, budding and blooming in the region, Sosnowski said — so expect a new surge of spring pollen to be released. Find out levels in your community on pollen.com.

It could be a good weekend to plant perennials, shrubs and trees so they don't get too stressed by the heat. But hold off on annuals — historically, the Hudson Valley gets frost until mid-May.
