Heat, Air Advisories Kick Off Hudson Valley Work Week
Plus it's going to be hot and humid enough at night to challenge some records, the National Weather Service says.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The region will grapple with temperatures in the 90s, high humidity and bad air for at least a couple of days, according to the forecast.
To make things more uncomfortable, warm overnight temperatures in the 70s will likely tie or break existing records across much of the Appalachians and East Coast through midweek, the National Weather Service said.
Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are predicted from Tuesday on.

Then things may get more complicated.
"Well, if you were hoping for a break from the heat it may come at a cost as it appears the atmosphere only had two things in mind for us this week," said the folks at Hudson Valley Weather. "A week of temps in the upper 80’s to low 90’s or a few days in the nineties followed by 70’s and low 80’s and the remnants of hurricane Beryl."

Temperatures will drop only a little as the chances for rain will rise later in the week.
"The Weather Prediction Center is fairly confident for as much as 2”-4” of rainfall over the next 7 days. I am seeing outliers suggesting as much as 6” to 8” of rainfall over the next ten days if the dynamics trend wetter from numerous periods with heavy rainfall," Bruce Furbeck of First Due Weather said on Facebook. "The period between Thursday and Saturday currently looks the wettest."
