House Fire Rages In Palisades

No one was injured, Sparkill-Palisades fire officials said.

PALISADES, NY — A raging house fire brought members of the Sparkill-Palisades Fire Department, Tappan Fire Department and Nyack Fire Department out at 1:50 a.m. Monday.

Crews were met with heavy fire, concentrated in the rear of the house, Sparkill fire officials said on Instagram. All residents were out of the home before firefighters arrived. No injuries resulted from the incident.

Swift action by the firefighters prevented further damage, they said.

They thanked mutual aid departments, including Tappan FD, Nyack FD, Piermont FD, Orangeburg FD, Central Nyack FD, and the South Orangetown Ambulance Corps, for their help.

"The Sparkill FD extends its gratitude for the professionalism and collaboration displayed during this emergency," officials said.
