Learn To Cook While Fighting Cancer With Rockland County's Brest Buddies
The Rockland County group Brest Buddies are raising money with a cooking class April 23 at Del Arte Restaurant in Orangeburg.
The Brest Buddies began when Anne Marie Hogan of Pearl River was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004.
Her battle with the disease helped draw her together with 11 other women to form the Brest Buddies, who work to raise $1,800 each in sponsorship money to take part in the AVON Walk for Breast Cancer Research in New York City each fall.
As a group they have raised over $150,000.
