Orangetown Announces Open House Details
Orangetown's Open House is set for Saturday, Oct. 13 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Orangetown announced the details for this year's Orangetown Open House Saturday, Oct. 13 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This year's theme is Community Building: Government and Citizens Working in Partnership.
Residents can take tours of the Orangetown Police Department, sewer treatment plant and the historical exhibits in the town hall. There will also be deomonstration of highway and emergency services equipment and a question and answer session regarding the town budget and services.
The public will be able to meet town staff and volunteers involved in many town committees and boards including emegency services, land use boards and parks. This is also an opportunity to learn how to get involved and to use town services.

Emergency service agencies and local fire districts will also participate. The open house will extend beyond the town hall to several nearby sites and there will be outdoor activities and exhibits for children.
At 2 p.m., there will be a memorial service held in the Orangtown Town Hall lobby commemorating the sacrifice of deceased police officers Thomas Kennedy, Michael Reedy, Waverly brown and Sergeant Edward O'Grady.
