Pearl River defeated Nanuet, 9-6, to clinch the District 18 softball 9-10-year-olds championship.
Jullia Kinnally gave up just two hits in six innings for the victory. Isabella Esposito had three hits and Ashley Baressi and Jenna Daly each had two.
Pearl River will play in the section tournament beginning Friday in Fishkill.
The players on Pearl River's District 18 championship team are Julia Kinnally, Isabella Esposito, Sophia Gerace, Quinlyn Maloney, Ashley Barresi, Alyssa Smith, Corrine Miedriech, Ellie Sheehan, Jenna Daly, Julia Killcommons, Sam Gambert and Stefania Rinaldi. Mike Gerace, Anthony Esposito and Steve Kinnally are the coaches.
In other District 18 tournament play, Pearl River led South Orangetown, 5-2, in the 12-year-old baseball finals when the game was suspended. They will pick it up 7 p.m. tonight at South Orangetown.
