Pearl River 12-Year-Old Baseball Run Ends

The Pearl River's 12-year-old baseball all-star team's season came to an end with a 3-0 loss to South Shore in the New York State Tournament in Lockport, NY Saturday.

Frank Copogrossoso homered in the second inning and South Shore scored two more runs in the fifth.

Jack McKee hit what would have been a game-tying RBI single in the fourth inning, but the runner was called out for a sliding infraction. Pearl River loaded the bases in the sixth inning, but was unable to score.

McKee finished with two of Pearl River's three hits and he gave up just one earned run on five innings with the help of Kyle Muldoon's defensive play in center field.

Pearl River finished third in the state after winning the District 18 and Section 4 championships. This group of players compiled a record of 39-8 over the last four seasons.
