Pearl River Baseball 12s Drop to Loser's Bracket

Pearl River will play South Shore noon Saturday in the loser's bracket of the New York State baseball 12-year-old tournament in Lockport, NY.

Pearl River lost to Burnt Hills, 5-4, in the finals of the winner's bracket Friday. Pearl River built a 3-0 lead with Jeffrey Long and Matt Russo driving in runs, but Burnt Hills tied the game on Trevor Wyatt's three-run home run in the fourth, then moved ahead to stay with two runs in the fifth.

Russo, Liam McLinskey and Sean Flaherty each had two hits for Pearl River.
