Pearl River Beats North Softball in Slugfest

The two teams combined for 33 hits in Pearl River's 13-6 victory at Clarkstown North Monday.

Mandy McCarthy homered, doubled and drove in five runs in Pearl River's 13-6 victory at Clarkstown North Monday. 

McCarthy also struck out nine and gave up five earned runs in the victory. Shortstop Sam Alicandri singled twice, stole four bases and scored three runs for the Pirates. Catcher Deirdre O'Malley went 3-for-5 with a run scored. 

Chinyere Oti went 3-for-3 with a home run and four RBI for Clarkstown North. Teammate Ashley Lew singled three times and scored a pair of runs for the Rams.
