Pearl River junior guard Christa Scognamiglio outscored the entire Suffern team by herself, piling up 27 points in a 79-26 victory in the Rockland County Second-Place game at Suffern Monday. Nicole Grossbard added 12 points and eight assists while Allison Cook and Amanda DeCourcey each had nine for Pearl River (17-1), which must wait until the Section 1 playoff pairings come out Wednesday to see who is next on the schedule. Suffern fell to 9-8 on the season with its second loss to the Lady Pirates. Pearl River won the first meeting of these two teams, 70-24, in December. Pearl River is likely to be the second or third seed behind Peekskill and possibly Albertus Magnus. Peekskill defeated Pearl River in the Sectional semifinals last season.
