Pearl River Boys Lacrosse Wins Opener

Kyle McDonald scored five goals in Pearl River's 9-6 victory at home against Westlake Tuesday.

Senior Kyle McDonald scored three of his five goals in the fourth quarter to help the Pearl River boys lacrosse team pull away for a 9-6 victory over Westlake at home Tuesday.

Senior goalie John Beckerle made 13 saves for the Pirates in their season opener. Peter Moreau scored two goals and assisted on two more. 

Sean Siry led Westlake (0-1) with three goals and two assists.

Pearl River will play 11 a.m. Wednesday at home against Monroe Woodbury.
