Pearl River Field Hockey Drops Opener to Suffern

Suffern blanked Pearl River, 3-0, Friday in the Pirates' season opener.

The Pearl River field hockey team opened its season with a 3-0 loss at home against Suffern Friday.

Sydney Hiller scored two goals for Suffern. Kalla Cahoon and Alexa Hirschberg split time in goal in the shutout. 

Pearl River goalie Annie McBride made two saves.

Pearl River's next game is 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11 at Nyack.
