The Pearl River field hockey team earned its first victory of the season Thursday, a 2-0 win at Nanuet.
The game was called with about 15 minutes left due to Thursday's storms. Kayla Moreau scored Pearl River's first goal off an assist by Jackie Dowling and Courtney Ocasal set up AnaMaria Ferrara for the Pirates' second goal. Pearl River goalie Annie McBride made five saves.
Pearl River (1-2-1) will play at home 4:30 p.m. Monday against Byram Hills.
