Pearl River Girls Cross Country Starts Fast

Pearl River took four of the top seven spots overall in winning the girls team title at the Rob Breen Memorial Cross Country Invitational Saturday at Clove Lake Park in Staten Island. 

Senior Kelly Hayes took first place for the Pirates, running the 5,000-meter course in 19:07.2. Teammate Catherine Rayward was second with a time of 19:51.7. As a team, the Pirates finished with 19 points, well ahead of second-place MSIT's 59.
