Pearl River will play South Orangetown or Stony Point for the District 18 baseball 12-year-old championship 7 p.m. Sunday at South Orangetown.
Pearl River advanced to the finals with a 7-0 victory over Stony Point Friday. Winning pitcher Kieran Creighton struck out five and gave up only two hits in four innings. Brian Tarsnane threw the final three innings.
Creighton, Tarsnane, Sean Flaherty and Liam McLinskey each had two hits. Jack McKee drove in two runs and Jonathan Farley hit an RBI double during Pearl River's four-run first inning.
