Brian Cook once again led the way for Pearl River, taking second place at the Warwick Wave Mania Cross Country Invitational Saturday in a time of 15:49, just one second behind overall winner Chris Hatler of Pope John XIII (NJ). The Pirates finished fourth as a team in Division 2 despite the absense of No. 2 runner Ben McDermott, who was out sick. Brian Edsall took eighth overall in 16:43, followed by Brandon Ilie 21st, Kyle Smith 32nd, Domenic Fortino 37t, Sean Mahoney 42nd and Devin Boyko 45th for the Pirates.
