The snow started falling early Monday in Rockland County, with local school districts responding by closing early. Pearl River Schools sent out a notification shortly before 9 a.m. that the district's day will be ending early. Pearl River High School and Pearl River Middle School will dismiss at 10:30 a.m., with the district's three elementary schools dismissing at 11:30 a.m. Students in all grades at the St. Margaret School in Pearl River will be dismissed at 10:30 a.m. The <a href="http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=41.0598251&amp;lon=-74.01238510000002&amp;site=all&amp;smap=1&amp;searchresult=Pearl%20River%2C%20NY%2010965%2C%20USA" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">National Weather Service</a> is calling for a mix of snow, freezing and sleet from the morning through 3 p.m. with an accumulation of less than an inch of snow and "little or no ice." As of 9:29 a.m., South Orangetown Schools and Clarkstown Schools had also announced early dismissals, with Nanuet and Nyack expected to make announcements as well.
