Pearl River's run through the softball 10-year-old tournaments ended with a 10-9 loss to North Bellmore in the New York State semifinals Thursday. Ashley Barresi doubled twice and drove in two runs. Sophia Gerace, Isabella Esposito and Julia Kinnally each doubled. Gerace also drove in two runs and Alyssa Smith scored three for Pearl River.
Pearl River won the District 18 and Section 4 Championships. The roster included Julia Kinnally, Isabella Esposito, Sophia Gerace, Quinlyn Maloney, Ashley Barresi, Alyssa Smith, Corrine Miedriech, Jenna Daly, Julia Killcommons, Sam Gambert and Stefania Rinaldi.
