Pearl River Volleyball Loses to Suffern

The Pirates lost at home for the first time this season, 3-1.

Pearl River rallied to win the third game, but the Pirates could get no closer, losing at home to Suffern in four games (25-20, 25-13, 18-25, 25-13) Wednesday. 

Victoria Grix led Pearl River with six kills. Senior Annette Krysiewicz managed three blocks and two kills for the Pirates, who fell to 2-3 on the season. Junior setter Mandy McCarthy had 10 assists, two digs and two aces. 

Suffern sophomore Samantha Uline registered 11 kills and 10 digs and teammate Julie Hrycyk, another sophomore, had 10 kills, 18 assistas and eight digs.

Pearl River's next match is 11 a.m. Saturday at Blind Brook.
