2) The Orangetown Council will discuss the reappointment of Brian Kenney as town assessor and other items on the Aug. 13 agenda during a workshop 8 p.m. tonight at town hall. A new term for Kenney would last six years. The full agenda for Tuesday's workshop is available here. The council will also consider a grant application for transportation enhancements in the town.
3) The National Weather Service is predicting a high temperature near 82 degrees with mostly sunny skies for Pearl River Tuesday with a chance of showers after midnight tonight.
