BLAUVELT, NY — The Orangetown Police Department seeks help from the public with their investigation of a residential burglary Monday in Blauvelt.
The burglary was committed between noon and 4 p.m. Nov. 8 in the area of Birchwood Road, police said.
"We have reason to believe that one or more individuals may have been in the area looking for houses that appeared to be unoccupied during that time, specifically, homes that did not have any cars in the driveway during the day," police said in a Facebook post. "Please check any video surveillance that you may have and let us know of any suspicious individual(s) or activity during that time."
