RCC's New EMT Training Program Well Underway
The 3-month-long program culminates with OTJ training at Rockland Paramedics Services, which is committed to hiring students who complete it

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — Rockland Community College's new Emergency Medical Technician Training Program is well underway.
Created last year in partnership with Rockland Paramedics, the Rockland Workforce Board and Rockland Career Center to help alleviate an ongoing Emergency Medical Technician and paramedic shortage in the region while helping unemployed and underemployed workers on a new career path, it has graduated one class, is about to graduate another, and will start a third session in January.
The Emergency Medical Technician program leads to NYS Certification as an EMT-Basic.
