Route 9W To Close Saturday AM In Orangetown

ORANGETOWN, NY — Rockland County motorists should expect U.S. Route 9W to close in both directions between Shadyside Avenue and Hickey Street in Orangetown between 7 a.m. and noon on Saturday.

Crews will be doing maintenance work, weather permitting, New York State Department of Transportation officials said.

Anticipate delays and follow the posted detour utilizing State Route 59, State Route 303 and State Route 340.

Local residents will be able to access their properties.

Remember, slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of your drivers license.
