South Orangetown opened the 11/12-year-old District Softball tournament with an 11-0 four-inning victory at home against Pearl River Saturday.
Julia Pozzuto was 2-for-2 and Meagan Woods and Skyler McGee each singled for Pearl River, which will play Haverstraw 7:30 p.m. tonight at 7:30 p.m. in an elimination game at South Orangetown.
South Orangetown plays New City at 5:30 p.m. in the winners bracket game.
