The NYSPHSAA released its BEDS enrollment numbers and the cut-offs for each classification in football Thursday. The BEDS enrollment takes into account the number of students in grades nine through 11. Those numbers can be found <a href="http://www.nysphsaa.org/classification/2013.14ClassNumbersWeb.pdf" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">here</a>. The cut-offs for each sport are listed <a href="http://www.nysphsaa.org/classification/cutoff.asp" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">here</a>.  Those cut-offs for football are as follows: <ul> <li>Class AA: 1,000 and higher</li> <li>Class A: 600-999</li> <li>Class B: 400-599</li> <li>Class C: 260-399</li> <li>Class D: 259 and lower</li> </ul> Pearl River, with 617, will remain one of the smallest schools in Class A for football. Among the 28 teams in Class A for 2013-14, only Hendrick Hudson will be smaller. That is one smaller than 2012-13 with Fox Lane moving up.  The release of the BEDS numbers and cut-offs allows Section 1 to move forward in making its schedules for the upcoming season.
