State Releases Football Enrollment Cut-offs, Pearl River Remains in Class A
Pearl River will once again be one of the smallest schools in Class A.

The NYSPHSAA released its BEDS enrollment numbers and the cut-offs for each classification in football Thursday.
The BEDS enrollment takes into account the number of students in grades nine through 11. Those numbers can be found here. The cut-offs for each sport are listed here.
Those cut-offs for football are as follows:

- Class AA: 1,000 and higher
- Class A: 600-999
- Class B: 400-599
- Class C: 260-399
- Class D: 259 and lower
Pearl River, with 617, will remain one of the smallest schools in Class A for football. Among the 28 teams in Class A for 2013-14, only Hendrick Hudson will be smaller. That is one smaller than 2012-13 with Fox Lane moving up.
The release of the BEDS numbers and cut-offs allows Section 1 to move forward in making its schedules for the upcoming season.
