In honor of Father's Day, Patch asked local residents about things their fathers taught them.
Elizabeth Van Wynen spoke about a lesson and a special book she recently passed on to her granddaugther. When she would ask about the spelling or definition of a word, her father would always tell her to look it up in the dictionary. She kept that dictionary and continued to use it until she gave it to her granddaughter.
