Town Supervisors Allot COVID Test Kits To Essential Workers

They said they're grateful for the allotment, as limited as it is, and hope for more to be able to distribute to the public.

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — The five Town Supervisors of Rockland County issued a statement regarding COVID-19 Antigen Test Kits distributed by Rockland County.

"The State of New York through the County of Rockland has distributed a very limited number of
test kits to the Five Towns of Rockland County. We, the Supervisors, are very grateful to have
received these kits from the State as cases of COVID-19 continue to rise in the region," they said.

The five towns will be distributing the test kits to:

  • Essential workers and first responders within each Town, including police, fire and EMS.
  • Village governments within each of our respective towns for distribution to essential workers within their village boundaries.

When more test kits are made available to the Towns in the near future, we will work together to
develop a plan to distribute those to the general public.
