Cortlandt Accepting Applications For Lifeguard, Summer Counselor

CORTLANDT, NY — Looking for a summer job in the town of Cortlandt?

The Cortlandt Recreation Department is accepting applications for senior counselor or lifeguard for summer 2022.

Charles J. Cook Pool: Lifeguard

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age. Starting salary is $14 per hour. These positions are limited as the number of openings is dependent on how many staff are returning from the previous season. If applying for a lifeguard position, one must have a valid waterfront lifeguard/first aid, CPR for the professional rescuer and AED certifications. The recreation department will hold try-outs in early May and positions will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the size of our facility and nature of its programming, only applicants who excel at try-outs will be hired.

Senior counselor: Charles J. Cook Day Camp, 5th & 6th grade camp and 7th & 8th grade camp

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Starting salaries begin at $12 per hour. Applicants will be contacted by phone in May to set up an interview date and time.
