The Town of Cortlandt is expected to apply for consolidated funding grants from New York State for three projects, according to town board documents.
Officials are seeking funds for a new comprehensive master plan; a new phase of the Hudson River Valley Greenway/Westchester County Riverwalk Trail; and a new heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) system for town hall.
The Department of Technical Services would apply for the funding, according to resolutions on a recent town board agenda.
Here are the details:
- The application for a new comprehensive master plan would seek no more than $400,000. If approved, the town would be required to contribute a "25-percent match through cash and in-kind services." The document was last updated in 2004.
- The town is looking to build a new phase of the trail along Broadway in Verplank, and install "interpretive RiverWalk signage" in several areas. The application for the project would seek no more than $1 million, and the town's contribution would be a 20-percent match.
- The application for a new, energy-efficient HVAC system to replace the old would seek no more than $1,200,000. If funded, the town's contribution would be a 50-percent match.
