Cortlandt Youth wins Homerun Derby in Cooperstown All Star Village

Buchanan's Jack Attinelly won first place at the Home Run Derby skills competition.

On Sunday July 1st 13 year old Jack Attinelly from Buchanan went to Cooperstown N.Y. with his travel baseball team the Pro Swing Pride from Mt. Kisco and came away with the first place plaque in the Home Run Derby skills competition . He competed against kids from all over the counrty .

It came down to a final round from a boy from Texas and Attinelly . Going into the Championship round Jack was down 7-6 but the pressure was just to much for the Texan as he couldnt put one over the fence. Jack stepped up to the plate and clouted 2 more bombs over the Cooperstown fences to claim the first place prize with 8 Homers.

His team the Pro Swing Pride also did well in tournament play during the week as they compiled a 6-2 record. Jack also added 4 more dingers for the week to complete a great week of Baseball.
