Cortlandt's Free Community Swap Is Scheduled

In addition to the swap, you can drop off unused prescription drugs and donate clothing to help Big Brothers Big Sisters of Westchester.

CORTLANDT, NY — A new date has been scheduled for Cortlandt’s free Community Swap.

The Green Team event will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22.

You can find new homes for unused or unwanted items and pick up other items you can use for free. Organizers said this is a great way to recycle and promote sustainability.

Drop off for your items will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21 and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 22.

The swap is looking for clean, reusable and portable items, such as pet supplies, digital items, books and Halloween costumes. For a complete list, check out this website.

If you have expired, unused or unneeded prescription drugs, the Westchester County Police Department will be collecting them for disposal at the Community Swap.

The Rotary Club of Cortlandt will also be accepting clothing donations for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Westchester County.

The event will be held at the Muriel H. Morabito Community Center, 29 Westbrook Dr. in Cortlandt Manor.
