Verbal Dispute on 6th Street
Westchester County Police responded to a residence on 6th Street in Verplanck on a report of a domestic dispute in progress on July 6 at 4:42 p.m. An officer determined that a dispute had occurred between a mother and daughter but it was verbal in nature only.
County Police Confirm 87-Year-Old Mother is Safe

A resident of Georgia who has been unable to reach her 87-year-old grandmother in Montrose by phone contacted Westchester County Police because she was concerned about the woman’s welfare on July 6. An officer went to the woman’s residence to check on her and found she was fine.
Child Accidently Dials 911

Westchester County Police responded to a residence on Sassinoro Boulevard in Cortlandt Manor because of a 911 hang-up call on July 5. The call was made accidentally by a 6-year-old boy who was playing with the phone while his grandmother was cooking, police said.
18-Year-Old Arrested for Kohl’s Theft
An 18-year-old Peekskill resident was arrested by County Police at Kohl’s department store on Route 6 and charged with Petit Larceny and False Personation, misdemeanors on July 11 at 8 p.m. He is accused of trying to leave Kohl’s with $219 in merchandise he did not pay for. He is also is accused of providing county police with a false name when he was being booked at county police headquarters in Hawthorne. He is due in Cortlandt Town Court on July 23.
