Here are five things you need to know for the weekend Oct. 21-23.

1.    Fall Beer Festivals

Birdsall House and The Quiet Man are both hosting festivals this Saturday. Read about their events and other weekend ideas .

2.    Gasland Screening

Find out what's happening in Peekskill-Cortlandtfor free with the latest updates from Patch.

Check out the movie made by Oscar-winning producer Josh Fox about the effects that hydrofracking can have on the environment. The screening will be on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 1:30 p.m. at the Peekskill Neighborhood Center.

3.    Sports and Football

The Peekskill Athletic Department is holdingSaturday morning and homecoming game is Saturday afternoon. On Sunday, you can catch the Peekskill Pop Warner football players at their homecoming game as well.

4.    Tartan Terrors at the Paramount

Tickets to see the Tartan Terror’s at the Paramount Center for the Arts this Saturday at 8 p.m. are about $25-30. The Tartan Terror’s are a Celtic music, comedy and dance group, sure to put on an entertaining show.

5.   9/11 Flag to Raise Money for Hudson Valley Vets

A famous flag and symbol of 9/11 will help a local Hudson Valley the Committee for the Families of Iraq and Afghanistan War raise money for war veterans and their families. The National 9/11 Flag will be brought from Manhattan and displayed on Oct. 23 during the Committee’s radiothon at Anthony’s Pier 9 in New Windsor. The “Home of the Free Because of the Brave” radiothon will be played from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on WPDH Radio in the Hudson Valley. More here.
