Festa Italiana Peekskill 2012 Announces Annual Raffle to Benefit Assumption School

Festa Italiana Peekskill 2012 has announced a 50/50 raffle to be held this year.

All proceeds will benefit the Assumption School, a more than century-old pre-kindergarten to eigth grade private school in Peekskill that has produced successful local business owners and political figures for decades.

Festa organizers say the proceeds are extremely important this year for the financially strapped Catholic school.

“The purchase of a raffle ticket will help Assumption School to support and further develop while continuing to provide a quality education with academic excellence and the values of the Catholic faith,” states a Festa press release.

“We are all God’s children working towards the same cause, our local parish and its school,” it continues.

Raffle tickets are available until Aug. 12. You can purchase tickets from the Assumption Church Rectory, parents of students of Assumption School, Festa Italiana 2012 Planning Committee Members, Assumption School Cub Scouts or at the information booth at the Festa Italiana Peekskill on August 10, 11 and 12. The cost of each ticket is $20.00. All checks should be made payable to Assumption School.

The winner will be drawn on Sunday, August 12 at 4 p.m. at the Festa Event Stage on the corner of Brown and Division Streets. Winners of the raffle need not be present.
