Field Library Unveils New Tiles of the Wild Mural

The ribbon-cutting celebration will be on Thursday, May 11th at 6:30 pm.

From the Field Library: The Field Library invites the public to view the new Tiles of the Wild mural created at the library by 19 young artists. The ribbon-cutting celebration will be on Thursday, May 11th at 6:30 pm.

Local artist and ceramic potter Jessica Dubin led our participants in a 4-part workshop in which they created beautiful mosaic tiles depicting the fur, feathers and fishy scales of wild animals who live in the Hudson Valley. Children researched wild animals native to the area and learned a variety of techniques to create their individual hexagonal tiles.

Artists will be on hand to discuss their work. Refreshments will be served. All children who attend the celebration will get to choose a FREE book.
