Fire Destroys Peekskill Apartment Building Under Construction
"It's raining pieces of wood on fire in my neighborhood," a Peekskill resident said.

PEEKSKILL, NY – A massive fire ripped through an apartment complex under construction in Peekskill Sunday night.
The fire started around 10:30 p.m. at 1847 Crompond Road, where Trinity Associates is building a five-story senior housing complex.

"It’s raining pieces of wood on fire in my neighborhood," Tevan Costoso, who lives nearby, told Patch.
Numerous fire departments were on the scene, which is across the street from the Stonegate apartment complex.
