Michael K. White, best known as ‘Omar’ from HBO’s “The Wire” will be a Grand Marshal along with Lois Bronz, at the 2nd Annual Peekskill Juneteenth Parade June 16. Read more .

4. 5K Walk/Run for Heroes

 Register to be a part of the Peekskill American Legions 5K Walk/Run for Heroes this Saturday for $20. All proceeds will go to Operation Comfort Warriors. There will be a BBQ at the legion hall following the event and each participant will receive a t-shirt.

Donations in any amount or sponsorship of runner or walkers  is appreciated and should be mailed to American Legion Post 274 at PO Box 21, 936 Mckinley Street, Peekskill, N.Y.10566 Notation 5k run for heroes. 

5. Peekskill’s 6th Annual Jazz and Blues Fest to be Held July 21

The Peekskill Business Improvement District has announced that Peekskill's 6th Annual Jazz & Blues Festival, a free outdoor concert and fair, will be held Saturday, July 21, from 1 pm - 10 pm at the intersection of Central Avenue and North Division Street in the heart of historic downtown Peekskill.
