Local Veterans Honored, Halloween Parades, Daylights Saving
Here are five things you need to know for the weekend, Nov. 4-6.

1. Congrats to Local Hall of Fame Veterans
New York State Senator Greg Ball is hosting a 40th Senate District Veterans’ Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Nov. 10. Village of Buchanan resident Russ Harrison and Peekskill resident Duke Searles will be two of twenty seven veterans inducted into the first class of inductees. The Ceremony will be held Thursday, November 10th in the auditorium of the Putnam County Emergency Services Building, located at 112 Old Route 6, Carmel at 6:00p.m.

4. Hen Hud Halloween Parades
Hendrick Hudson School District is making up for its canceled parades this afternoon. Furnace Woods’ parade starts at 1:10 p.m. and Frank G. Lindsey and Buchanan-Verplanck elementary schools’ both start at 2 p.m.
5. Living Our best
Hudson River HealthCare will host the 5th Annual Living at Our Best health and wellness event on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A Fun Walk begins at 9:30 a.m. and will promote Fred’s Pantry, which is operated by Caring for the Homeless in Peekskill and the newly established Jason C. Paige Health & Wellness Center in honor of the late Jason C. Paige.
