Man Threatens Family, Preloads 1,000 Rounds of Ammunition, Found with M4 Rifle

Man on PCP arrested; Woman drives drunk, flips car over; possession of heroin

Peekskill Man Threatens Family then Preloads 1,000 Rounds of Ammunition into Magazines

Derek Williams, 20, of Peekskill, was charged with third degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, and second degree menacing, a misdemeanor, on Oct. 13 at 9:30 a.m. After threatening several family members with physical harm the family reported to police that they heard Williams loading his firearm.

Police report the family said that Williams was acting irrationally and possessed a large quantity of ammunition.

Police responded and were able to make telephone contact with Williams who surrendered peacefully after approximately 15 minutes of negotiations. Williams was charged after police recovered an M-4 assault rifle and over 1,000 rounds of ammunition that had been preloaded into magazines. Williams was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court.

Man Arrested While Under Influence of PCP

Richard Darling, 31, of Cortlandt Manor, was charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on Oct. 13 on the 110 block of Brown Street.

Darling was observed acting irrationally while in the parking lot of the Crossroads Apartments on Brown St. Upon further investigation, it was determined that he was under the influence of PCP after a quantity of the narcotic was recovered from his person. Darling was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court.

 

Drunk Driver’s Car Rolls Over While Driving

On Oct. 17 at 3:10 a.m. Jennifer Donahue was arrested for aggravated DWI on the 1300 block of Crompond Road. Donahue was charged after being involved in a single car accident in which the vehicle she was operating rolled over. Donahue, who was not injured, was found to have a BAC of .20%, leading to the aggravated DWI charge. She was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court.

 

Possession of Heroin

Robert Thompson, 32, of Lake Peekskill, was charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, on Railroad Avenue in Peekskill on Oct. 11 at 6:10 p.m.

Police observed Thompson to be involved in a drug transaction on Highland Avenue and was subsequently stopped on Railroad Ave. where he was found to be in possession of a small quantity of heroin. He was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court.
