Peekskill Man Yanks Gold Chain Off 11-year-old’s Neck

A 31-year-old Peekskill man stole a gold chain from an 11-year-old; other items from the Peekskill Police Blotter

Man Yanks Gold Chain Off 11-year-old’s Neck

Cornelius Allen 31, of Peekskill, was charged with third degree robbery, a felony, on Sept. 22 at 3:20 p.m. Allen is accused of snatching a gold chain off of the neck of an 11-year-boy and then stealing his cell phone after threatening him. The offense occurred on the 1400 block of Main St. on Sept. 16 at approximately 3:30 p.m.. Allen was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court.

Homeless Man Stealing Drugs Caught on Tape

On Sept. 20 at 3:35 p.m. Kristopher Busch, 43, who police report as homeless, was charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor, on the 1800 block of Main Street. Busch was charged following an investigation conducted by Peekskill Police Officer Dylewski into the theft of several hundred dollars worth of over the counter pain medicine from the CVS Pharmacy on Main Street.

The theft occurred on Sept. 18 at approximately 9:00 p.m. and Busch was identified as the offender after being captured on the store’s surveillance system. He was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court.

 

Man Steals $100 from Acquaintance

On Sept. 20 at 5 p.m. Gregory Fleming, 36, of Peekskill, was charged with petty larceny on Lindbergh Avenue.

Fleming was charged after he was accused of stealing $100 from the vehicle of an acquaintance who had given him a ride on Sept. 2. He was released on his own recognizance and is due in Peekskill City Court on Oct. 6 at 11 a.m.

 

Man Pays Himself $4500 Using Someone Else’s Checks

Juan Lesende, 34, of Peekskill, was charged with third degree grand larceny, a felony, and third degree possession of a forged instrument, a misdemeanor, on Setp. 21 at 11:30 p.m. Lesende is accused of stealing several checks from a female acquaintance over a one month period in June 2011 and then cashing these checks for a total of $4500. Lesende was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court.

 

 

New Jersey Resident Wanted by NYPD Arrested for Impersonation

William Warren, a 52-year-old resident of Long Branch, NJ was charged with criminal impersonation, a misdemeanor on Sept. 24 at 9:25 p.m. Warren was stopped on Orchard St. after failing to stop at a stop sign and identified himself using his brother’s name, in an effort to avoid being arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Police Officer Basso was able to learn Warren’s true identity and further found that he was wanted by the NYPD for seventh degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. Warren was held pending his arraignment in Peekskill City Court.

 

Ecstasy Arrest

On Sept. 25 at 11:05 p.m. Antoine Boyd, 21, of Peekskill, was charged with fourth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on the 300 block of Highland Avenue.

Boyd was charged after he was found to be in possession of several tablets of Ecstasy. He was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court.
