Marie Fellows: Former Peekskill Resident

Marie A. (Colyer) Fellows, 72, passed away peacefully Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, at Washington Center, surrounded by her family.

Born Jan. 29, 1943, in New London, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. (Bill) and Jane (Lounsbury) Colyer.

Marie graduated in 1961 from Peekskill High School. In 1967, she married Paul Fellows in the Peekskill Presbyterian Church.

Marie worked as a film librarian at Albany Medical Center for many years. She was an avid reader and will be fondly remembered for chaperoning numerous field trips for her children while they were in school.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 48 years, Paul Fellows; her children, William Fellows and his wife, Merieme, of Morocco, and Rodmund Fellows and his wife, Kathy, of Fort Edward; her grandchildren, Keighan and Ryane Fellows; as well as her sister, Elizabeth Maloy and her husband, Michael, of Peekskill; and her brother, Bryan Smith and his wife, Elaine, of Washingtonville and several nephews.

At Marie’s request, there will be no calling hours.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be private at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
